Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively in ABC's Lost television show. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington located in Ohio dropped out of high school and moved in Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Even though she had financial difficulties, her 2001 debut was as Rachel's Room's primary character. The role she played in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder In Greenwich in 2002 earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 as well as sharing a Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) along with her. Grace has worked with Tom Welling on The Fog during 2005, decided to make the move to film. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl as well as The Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character as Shannon in Lost for two additional episodes, including the final episode of the series. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She portrays Faith who is both a star-gazer and the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager She began working on small roles with her father. She was also in Donnie Darko alongside her sister. She then appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her lead performances in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama) and Sherrybaby (606) Both of which garnered their Golden Globe Award nods. In 2006, she had a number of commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However it was her performance as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). She was nominated in the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). After that she continued to play in comedies as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (12). The other roles she's played include Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) and actors in Frank (2014, drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018), and her role as the kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a director and writer in 2021, with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
